Shut off Display, but keep Music going

On those long highway drives at 2am, the screen can get pretty glare-y.
I wanted a way to shut off the display (without shutting off the entire unit) so I can still listen to the music.

I found a work around which is "Info/Setup" > "Display" > "Display Off"
but I was wondering if there is a way without having to go into setup, etc.

I have a Canadian Tech Model, btw.
    Thanks

I think that is the only way - then all you have to do is touch the screen to bring it back up.

    Is true.
I'm glad there is SOMETHING that can be done (unlike a custom startup sound)
I was just hoping for an easy work-around.

In Germany we don't have XM, so we have a free button. With that button we can turn the display on and off. I think this is very usefull at night (I drive 50% at night). Maybe it is possible for you guys to add a little button which has the same task.

    Cool!

They should at least make our XM button reprogrammable so we Canadericans can do that too. And maybe a shuffle button that doesn't have to be toggled "on" all the time for the USB?

Damn! Wish there was someone who could hack the head unit.
