Lightbulb Blue-Link Remote Start - Blinking lights?

Hello all. I have been reading this forum for quite some time now, a few months actually and have never posted. So my first post it is!

In any case, I have a question I cant quite seem to find a solid answer on.

I bought my VT a few days ago, and have been using the Remote-Start function from my iPhone.

I notice that when I start it, the blinkers seem to flash until I get in the car and sit down. I don't necessarily like this, and as someone else on this forum said, I'd rather attention not be drawn to my car that is on without anyone in it.

Is there a way to make it so the blinkers do not flash when the car has been remote-started?

    Thank you kindly in advance.

My neighbors Kia Sorento does that too. What the difference if people see the car running? I would assume you can't move it without a key.

Or get in it when it's locked. As of now, no way to stop the lights from blinking. I don't like it much myself, but love the nice warm ride I get into!!

I still have yet to get mt car to start with the APP on my android. Just says "failed, please try again." I can get it to unlock though. Still in my first 3 months of the car.

that would be because the feature is not enabled for m/t cars, it's auto/DCT only, and that's pretty well documented.

really? that's your take of it? if you're going to typo and not really read what folks type, then you're not going to have fun here. YOU typed "mt" in your post, to folks here that means Manual Transmission, and what does "auto/DCT" mean in my post? Automatic OR DCT.. in other words NOT manual transmission.

had to reread my post. I typo'd MT instead of MY. Make sense now? As far as the "Auto/DCT" in your post, I read that to mean the DCT version of the Automatic. If it works for the normal Auto as well as the DCT then I need to figure out what's wrong.

Do you lock your car? It doesn't work when the cars unlocked

Yes, my doors are locked (As they need to be). I just do not like the blinking lights, to me its....weird. For example, I parked in the front row of parking at a local store with big windows, when I was at the checkout counters, I remote started my vehicle and it just seems to add too much attention to the car.

I had the same issue with my remote stater app, called Blue-link they said just lock the car with the key fob, not with the button on the outside of the door handle. It works perfect every time. Now I should share my findings with the sales people at the dealership, they couldn't figure it out either

I just want to add my opinion that the blinking lights upon remote start are totally ridiculous. I can't think of any benefit.

Plenty disadvantages. It's only a matter of time before security at my work lot get called because of my car blinking away.
