Hands free texting with iPhone and Siri

First off, Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays to all of you in Veloster nation! I recently jailbroke and added Siri to my iPhone 4. One day for the heck of it, while my phone was connected to my V, I brought up Siri. The voice plays through the car speakers. So I tried sending a text, and it worked flawlessly, Also works when I new message arrives and I tell Siri to read my text. So it can all be accomplished by a simple long hold on home to bring up Siri in the car, minimizing having to take attention from the road. My apologies if everyone was already aware that this works, but I figured I'd share the info.

I've been doing this ever since I got Siri... I agree that it works great and is infinitely easier than trying to deal with the Veloster's voice recognition system.

I never used Siri, but I have used the little microphone button on the text pad to do voice to text through the veloster system. I'll check this out, thanks for the heads up!

that's awesome! I'm definitely switching to IPHONE, as I have HTC Resound and it won't even load my contacts from it! LAME!

I've been contemplating getting an iPhone because of the advantages the car offers to having one. Currently have an Evo 4G LTE, this phone is awesome and the real reason why I'm still contemplating the switch. Glad to hear Siri works well with the car, might influence me to get one sooner than later Siri sounds like quite an amazing feature.
