    Interior Panel Customization???

Has anyone tried to paint the interior silver trim pieces on the dash, around the vents and on the doors? Trying to find a DIY on how to pull apart the dash and not having much luck searching the Forums. Any suggestions? Thanks!

The silver center bezel and the door hoops I have seen taken off. The side air vents, middle hoops, and door pull trim I have not seen. Maybe have been done, I just haven't noticed it

Yeah, haven't figured out a way to get the vents and upper door pieces off yet. Tried to view the tech manual on it, but having issues registering. May just swing by the dealership and see if I can order the manual.

i have, actually driving around bare inside the car. They all pull off for the most part but good luck. You have to go very slow and try not to wreck the plastics. the only piece i cant get off yet is the steering wheel, but i gave up early today. warped the headliner and side panels in black fabric

    Hmm. Interesting. Got pics already?

That's something that has crossed my mind. Ive bumped my head a couple times on the headliner and I have this phobia regarding dirty headliners on cars. They seem almost impossible clean up without damaging it on 90% of the cars out there.

I'm also interested in a easy way to pull off the silver pieces, I really want to bring the Vitamin C inside my car by painting those all Vitamin C, was thinking of getting the paint matched and then clear coating them.

Im thinking to do the same thing with my 26.2 Yellow. i suggest wet sanding the outside of them first if you do, so you can smooth out the ugly seam mark on it. post pics if you do it though!

You read my mind. DeMarioii, is there a tutorial on the door panel remove? I assume you have to take the door panels off to remove the handles?

From what I read in the service manual to get the steering wheel trim off you actually have to almost fully disassemble the entire steering wheel. I have figured out how to take off every piece and will try to do some DIY tutorials when I take them out, but honestly it will be a few weeks before I have the time to do any of it...sorry!

i will be painting all the silver/steel colored plastic 26.2 yellow except for the stuff on the steering wheel I have the license plate frame decal painted and stuck onto my wheel and i love it! but you could always get some vinyl of a close color and with a hair dryer you could make it fit perfectly! I considered doing the vinyl but im happy with my wheel saying Veloster

You should post some pics over here, they do look awesome, specially the white/fiber one.
