The center console "handles" will only come off if you take out the cup holder plastic piece, then the center console plastic piece, then the plastic piece that the "handles are connected to. Not that hard really. Takes mable 5-10m to get to them. The piece that the "handles" are screwed to is actually a few pieces. YOu basically have to take that whole thing apart to get to the handles from behind. They are screwed in from behind. You cannot pry them off. DONT TRY.
The side handles can be pryed off with a trim tool. Just protect where your tool is touching (other than behind said piece of course). The plastic in our car will scratch very easy.
Step 1. Take out cup holder plastic piece. First pry out the ebrake handle cover (stick trim tool in furtherst back area open in ebake cover and pry/pull up and toward front of car, then open glove box and there the two pieces meet. Stick your trim tool in there and pry out and up. THen you just pull up going towards front. Also have to pull up on shift boot (MT) and it will come up with ring. Just dont rip it. Dont have to take it completely off or shift knob either. I just pulled mine up and out of the way. Whre it was almost completely inside out. Just be careful when taking out the pieces not to touch the boot to sharply.
Step 2. Take out center glove box plastic piece. I believe you take out carpet cover on bottom center glove box and there are two bolts. Might be a couple of screws in front area too . not sure.
Step 3. Take out front center console. Take out side screw clips down by feet. Plus a couple of screws and clips and pull up and forward and out. Then you can start taking that piece a part and get to the handles screws from behind.
