found a oem push start button in junk yard

my v has styling package, and it's a non turbo 2012 model, but don't have push start button. I found oem start button in junk yard, which come off from 2013 v turbo model. There is connector port on the back of button, should be plug in somewhere in the car. Can I install that oem button to make my v push start, do I need any other parts or wiring after install oem start button. 2nd question, the start button place was light up before, nice red circle led light, but now it doesn't light anymore, anyone knows why, is any fuse burned, thanks.

i think you're missing a few electrical components, such as the proximity key and associated wiring with the button.

i have a NAV base, so as far as i know nothing down there lit up.... can you post some pictures of your console?
