Trade Blue (Leather) Interior for Black or Gray

Figured I'd give this a shot:
I've got a black VT ultimate pkg w/blue interior, I'm not crazy about the blue, but that's what the dealer had.
Is anyone somewhat close to the MD/DC/VA area looking to trade interiors (seats, handle trims)? My interior would probably work well in a blue V. I'm looking for black or gray.

First, no I won't trade my gray seats and handles...sorry, but I do feel for you! I know you're not crazy about the blue but sometimes if you "go with it" rather than "fight it" you might be pleasantly surprised. If you don't absolutely HATE the blue (and I suspect that you may not since you spent some coin on the car) try adding an accent of the exact same blue to give it a coordinated look. Why not an accent or racing stripe on the black paint or replace the chrome on the wheels with the same blue. I could even envision a twin blue racing stripe over the hood and down the hatch that would pull it all together. Those "chrome" accents on the wheels are just plastic so you could get a second set and paint them blue. Maybe add some indigo blue interior accent lights...or something as simple as a ballcap in the same blue to keep on the seat as your Turbo hat! It's kind of like finding a great apartment but the carpet or walls are a color you don't love but can't change. If you're color-creative you can compliment or contrast to make those colors more pleasing to you. I'm not a computer graphics specialist but I bet someone with those skills could help you photoshop some of these ideas before you give up on the blue. Good luck whatever way you go and personally even though I got what I wanted with the gray I think the black exterior with blue-accent interior is HOT and potentially probably going to be rare.

Thanks for the suggestion. I'm thinking that may be the direction I'm gonna have to go. The blue isn't ugly, it just kind of stands out a bit.

Well there you go Reptar...Turtle85 gave you the swap option and you're open to keeping the blue...decsions, DECISIONS!
-and again I agree with your comment that the blue "just kind of stands out a bit" -I think the trims in the Veloster, both gray and blue are underdone in that IF the whole center seat section on both front and back seats as well as the armrest pads on the console and doors had the accent color it would be much more dramatic and fitting with the sporty nature of the Turbo. Go look at the Ford website in the Build and Price section for the Fiesta and Focus two-tone interiors. They weren't shy about using color and it looks great IMHO. So whatever way you go make it fun!

I would be wary of trading the blue for silver from a VT to a NAV as the NAV has more accents then the VT. Only 2 pieces if I remember correctly are colored in the VT(Handles on door and center console), the NAV had way more(Steering wheel, door handle, the vents, the center console, around the Navigation, and around the tweeter speaker on the door). Also the seats are different.

I plan on pulling my silver pieces out and spray painting to color match the Vitamin C exterior, I also want to get all the gray dyed to Vitamin C on the seats(leather and stitching) and doors(Stitching), but the other poster that did it cost him $600, and that's way out of my budget.

Sorry, away for a bit.. Here's the interior as from Hyundai's website (same exact way as my car looks) I called up my dealer and they said they'd be willing to cover labor for the swap.

Just wanted to say thanks to Reptar we met today and swapped interiors. Figured out how to do most of it last night and was able to swap them out relatively quickly. Im very happy to say I finally have a blue Veloster Turbo with a blue interior which is exactly how it should be offered by Hyundai.

Nice, I've been thinking about trading my gray interior out for the red that came in the n/a V. Although, after thinking about it, I would only swap if heated seats were offered in the n/a V front seats. I don't want to lose out on the heated seats just because it came from the factory with it. Might just get a screen shot of the red interior and have my interior converted professionally.
