    WTB A/V Jack Cable

WTB A/V cable that comes with the tech package or with the Turbo's. It's the cable that has a 3.5mm (headphone) plug on one end and the red, white, yellow RCA connections on the other. My dealer neglected to give this to me when I bought my VT and now can't seem to find one...

    Anyways it looks like this.

    Thanks.

Why not go back to the dealer and ask for it? I've never had troubles going back for stuff that should have been there in the first place.

I've been trying to email/call the guy that sold me the car but he's told me there wasn't a cable blah blah. Told him that there was. After some looking he said that was an accessory but would ship it to me for free. He ended up sending the IPOD accessory cable which I have no use for. I'll give someone else at the dealership a try. I was hoping someone here had one and was willing to part with it.

Already have one of those, it give me sound and no video except the occasional, second long, distorted image. Long story short i had to swap the red and yellow to get the sound working correctly and any video at all to show up. I need to rule out the cable as a possible problems before working my way back. I need a cable that I know will work.

    I live in Kennesaw, Georgia.

UPDATE: I bought a different cable from best buy to try. same results. However this time I started playing with it. Before I had to put yellow into the red to get full stereo sound. Now I put everything back to normale, red-red, yellow-yellow; but i began pulling the 3.5mm plug out very slowly. since the cables were different i only had loud feedback and mono to start with. as I pulled the plug out the feed back disappeared, but still had just mono sound and no video. I kept going then the video popped up full with mono sound. This "sweet spot" is so very tiny, it takes me 2 or 3 tries to find it.

So my conclusion is this, the Hyundai cable isn't normal (duh) and you need that to get things to work easily and completely.

    $60!?!? What a joke!

White one for $9 -> Amazon.com: Amzer 3.5mm to RCA Video Out Cable: Cell Phones & Accessories

There are a bunch you can see here for closer to $3. Just make sure it has a video hookup: Amazon.com: rca video to 3.5mm

Tried one i bought from amazon, doesn't work right. Tried another I bought from BestBuy, doesn't work right either. Based on testing these I can definitely say Hyundai has a unique cable. The 3.5mm end on a camcorder cable is not the same.

I'm inclined to say that maybe the answer lies in the details. Most cables similar to the OEM cable are actually 3.5mm to RCA OUT, where the OEM is actually RCA to 3.5mm IN. So maybe thats where the detents change.

Interesting. Next time I'm in my car I will check out the cable and take a picture next to one of these cables that I have lying around.

Hmmmm. I thought it wouldn't matter which way it went. I was thinking Hyundai just changed the order and spacing on the 3.5mm end.

Sorry to hear that your dealer messed this up. I would rather fight tooth and nail than to waste time and money to find one that works or pay $50 to get my own when the dealer should have given it to you. So I say, if you going to spend time and money anyway, I'd throw it all at the dealer. Good luck!
