2nd AnnualPittsburgh Meet

OK ladie sand gentlemen. The time to start planning for the Pittsburgh meet has come around.It is tentatively scheduled for June 15^th. We started planning this time last year so it stands to reason that we should do the same this year.

I am hosting the event this year again. It is actually considered the Pittsburgh Area meetas it is held in Beaver, PA.

We will be coordinating at the Beaver Valley Mall again. It is an easy land mark for everyone to find and hopefully the local police will be kind enough to block the traffic light again. We will meet at the mall between 11:30 and 12:00. We will caravan to the park from there. The route we take is a little longer but it has the least amount of traffic lights and stop signs.

The cookout will be at pavilion 14. There is a large area for parking across the street for all of the cars with a great back drop for photos. Food for the cookout but I ask for a donation of 7 dollars. With 40 people last year that worked out well. If the meet becomes larger, the donation will be required. Alcohol is permitted but will not be supplied and we ask that you keep it to a minimum.Obviously you must be 21. No underage consumption will be tolerated.

For those of you staying from out of town there are two nice facilities. The Comfort Suites is very nice but is a little on the higher end. Location can be supplied but make your reservations early as they fill up for events. There is another nice place beside it that has some cheaper rates. It is a new building and is still quite nice.It is called The Inn.

I hope to double the amount of cars this year. 40 cars were great, but let’s hit 80 this year. If we get enough cars the location may change.

The after party is by invitation only. This is only to control quantity. If you would like an invitation, feel free to request one.
The after party is for anyone over the age of 18. No exceptions. We have a hot tub,a small pool and an 800sf deck that was finished this fall. We may be arranging transportation to the hotels should anyone’s safety be at risk due to consumption. We will then pick you up in the morning to retrieve you vehicle.
We hope for a great turn out this year. It truly was a Hyundai community event.

we are actually planninh on doing a track run in the fall. I assume you mean Beaver Run. Which is now Pittsburgh internationa Raceway or something. 25 cars for 6k and that includes fire, ems, insurance and staff. thats roughly 250 per car and no one else is on the track except us. Should I put you on the maybe list? What is you first name at least or first and last if that is OK. We have another member from here coming. I know him from other forums and from last years meet but I forget his user name here. I think it is vortex

alright guys. Well after a nasty month long project for work, not being able to devote time to anything online, I am back and ready to get things moving again to promote our events. We have many new names to add to the roster and it will be updated in the next day or so. I would love to see some more of you sign up. Keep an eye out as the event gets closer

surely with over 60 cars signed up, there must be a few more people from v.org interested. I know ther are some signed up that have just not posted here. 3 or 4 of you. But there must be others. If it is any better than last years, which it looks like it will be, you would be sad to miss it.
