My teacher at wyotech told us all cars are sh*tty, if they weren't mechanics would be out of a job. I've own 24 cars in the last 10 years and im on about as many forums. People from every group talk crap about everybody. The only group I've been in that never really talked crap was the MKIII Supras, but then everyone hates supras. The V is a new cheaper vehicle so yeah there will be a lot of uneducated talk until the V is on the market for a while and has a chance to prove its worth.

On the other hand....

Cars have about 30,000 parts in them. If your car were to be 99% operational and have only 1% of the parts fail, you would have about 300 failures.

Im still amazed at how well cars actually work, I mean, just about anybody would be pissed if they had even 5 parts fail on their car. If you had 5 parts fail, that would be about a .017% failure rate... not too bad.
