Inside line tested the DCT system on the Veloster....
I wonder how the manual transmission model would do...

Pretty slow, but impressive handling numbers given it's ancient suspension technology.
To compare, here is insideline's test results for my MK6 GTI (Manual Transmission):
0-60 6.9s
60-0 129ft
Slalom 67.1MPH
Skidpad 0.84g

he must not have the DCT and ECU reflash. Or maybe he had the handbreak up when he took off cause i know this car aint no 10 seconds 0 - 60!
omg it is too slow. i dont think it is dct, double clutch transmission should be faster than manual at least it should be as fast as the manual.

Somethings wrong... Car should definitely be faster than that. It looked like there was a HUGE delay from releasing the brakes to stomping the gas. Either something was wrong with the car, or the driver can't launch the car properly lol
I haven't tried to launch a DCT Veloster but I had a SST Ralliart and unless you foot spool it like an auto, it would roll out very slowly then take off leading to terrible 60 ft and 0-60 times. Properly driven, the DCT car should outrun the MT car to 60 mph.
I wonder if they remembers to turn off the stability control and eco shift, lol.

Sounds like the shifts are happening in the 4000 something range vs. 6500. Very likely in standard vs. sport mode for these tests.
What is the best way to shift in DCT anyway to get the quickest 0-60 time?Like at what rpm should I shift at?
