Best spy shot of the facelifted 2013 Hyundai Genesis Coupe, MUST SEE!

When I originally saw the first 2013 Hyundai Genesis coupe spy shot and noticed it had a front end very much like the Veloster, I wasn't surprised at all! But with this new spy picture that shows the whole car, i'm starting to like it. The vents on the hood which are most likely functional and not just for looks, actually looks really good!





Hyundai is preparing to reveal the facelifted 2013 Genesis Coupe, and we now have what is perhaps our best look yet at the updated car's Veloster-ified front fascia thanks to the folks over at Hyundai-Blog. We won't see the final design until closer to the car's 2012 Detroit Auto Show debut in January, but after plenty of camera phone shots and spy photos, we have no reason to believe that things will change much from what you see here.

As we've reported many times before, it's pretty safe to assume that the 2013 Genesis Coupe will use the updated, direct-injected 3.8-liter V6 that's available in the Genesis Sedan, producing 333 horsepower. We're confident that the 2.0-liter turbocharged inline-four will also carry over, and we can't help but cross our fingers that Hyundai found some way to shoehorn the big 5.0-liter, 429-hp V8 under the coupe's sleek hood, however unlikely that might be.

Love it and Im a Genesis owner. Upgraded interior and more power too. Its going to be a tough choice for me next year when the Turbo Veloster and the new Genesis hit the streets. Decisions, decisions.

I love the new look for the Genesis front, but the Genesis has zero attraction to me. I have a RWD sportscar that happens to be a convertible, I have zero interest in another RWD car. But I'm thrilled Hyundai is taking this design theme and working with it so as to create a brand image for themselves.

To me I just love the Veloster because it is FWD and basically a 3-door hatchback, which is a vehicle type I have always loved, since my very 1st one back in the '70's, My AMC Gremlin X

i actually wish hyundai would come out with a small rwd...like a miata, solstice or sky type car.

the genesis is too big for me.

i have heard two different things about the 2.0t motor...the sonata motor with 274hp or a revamped (non gdi motor) making about the same power...i would think they would use the twin scroll turbo from the sonata, bigger injectors and a reflash...<--- this option would be the easiet to tune and make even quicker.

If to me-
Just because something is not a perfect fit, does not mean it is hate
The Nissan Titan is too big for my needs
I love my Frontier
I'm not hating the Titan, in fact I used to own one and I loved it
However, it is really way bigger than I need, it is not a perfect fit
The Genesis is not a perfect fit for me
That statement has absolutely no hate in it at all!

On some of the Honda forums I frequent, the Genesis and Hyundai in general gets a bad rap and if you dont like whatever some of them have done to their cars, you're a "hater". Their biggest come back to cars like the Genesis and Veloster is the usual resale value fallback.
