Largest tire size with no issues

Hello guys.....new to the site. Just picked up 2013 V non turbo Century White. As i am a TSW dealer i ordered black Panorama s in 18 x 8 with +35. I'm using the stock tires for now, but what is the largest i can fit when I'm ready to change?
    Thanks.

A 245 would probably be pushing it. Granted +35 is quiet a bit lower then the OEM offset, so the tire size will have to be adjusted to fit.

The charts from DT say 235/40. I'd IMMEDIATELY replace the stock tires. Tires on a wheel are to do 2 things: keep the wheel off the roar and off the curb. The 215 is NOT wide enough. it requires a 225 minimum.

In 149K miles I NEVER curbed a wheel on my BMW with 18x8s running 225s. I have THREE curbed wheels in 17K running 215s on the NA.

Change the tires before you damage the new wheels!!

LOL... that's what the steering wheel is for, not the tires.

And fools who think they are perfect drivers, never having ever had a momentary lapse, make stupid comments trying to make fun of others trying to help.

Keep your nasty comments to yourself.

    To the OP: nice choice.

Has anyone tried a 245/40/17 or even 245/35/17?

I'm also trying to max out the wheel / tire size on my VT. Does anyone know the fender to hub distance?
