    Veloster bolt pattern

What bolt pattern do you think will be on the 2012 Veloster. I'm thinking 5x112, hopefully its a bolt pattern a lot of sick looking rims come in.

Probably 5x114.3 like most other newer Hyundais. Genesis, Tucson, Elantra.

i always check tirerack.com for these spec's but no information yet. 5x114.3 is what im leaning more towards, 5x112 is somewhat likely. Fingers crossed for 5x114.3, i have a couple 18x9's that will look nice on the Veloster.

YES the 114.3 x 5 is what hyundai uses...the only car that does not use that pattern in the new accent which is 100 x 4 (used to use 114.3 x 4 like my elantra...till i swapped it over to 5 lug. haha)

there will be a TON of wheel options for us!

I actually like the stock wheels with painted inserts... I probably won't be switching those out for once.

I don't think they'll weigh too much. They just look big because they are 18" on a small car. lol

trust me...my oem tib 17" are like 23lbs each...and the 19" on the gen coupe are close to 30+. and on a small car a new set of lightweight wheels will make a big difference not only in weight but UNSPRUNG weight and rotational weight.

But 18-19" wheels will allow plenty of room for a BBK upgrade.

^perhaps...but i think you need to look at the pics again...there really is no room for the upgrade the way the brakes are situated.

Some of Hyundais braking components are proving to be ver swappable. There is DIY that a fellow Genesis member is doing where he is putting Equus brakes on his car. They basically bolt right on. I'm sure something similar might be done by a creative Veloster owner.

there is physially NO room for a larger caliper (even the guy writing the article said that because of the position you wouldnt be able to)...you would have to move where the caliper is mounted (how are you going to do that without a new knuckle?) and beside slotted rotors with some Hawk pads and some SS lines and your good to go!

I don't like the stock color-matched wheels, so I'd probably try to sell them a.s.a.p. but keep the tires.

I've been meaning to get a set of RX8 R3 rims for my Mazda3, but held off. I wonder how the Veloster looks like with a set

Yeah.. the way the suspension is set up, it's very cramped and a BB wouldn't fit .. I really would like nice black rims on a yellow/blue veloster..

Does anyone know what sizes will work on the Veloster without lowering it? And if they can be staggered? Probably wont stagger so that I can rotate all four but just curious if the rear can be larger.

Example: 18 inch rims vs 19s 18x9's ?? 19x9's?? or do I have to go smaller?

And if you do know, what size tires?
