I bought mud guards for my V, I was debating on colour matching them to the car...or keep them black...which do you think would look better?

well mudguards are made for getting rocks all that crap the wheel throws at it, unless its for show then i would paint them but knowing what mine had already gone through on my V that's been only 2000km driven the mudguards are doing its job, so painting them wouldnt help much , might just make things look worse IMO since you will have the original black showing once it gets all beated up, unless your V is for pure show and not driven much then that's a whole debate itself
I agree with Meko. Keep them raw and let them get all beat up with muck. That's what they're there for.

well the inside of the mud guards would stay original, I would just paint the exterior...nothing hits the exterior

If you want to paint, stick with just the outside. The side facing the wheel will look like crap in no time if you paint there.

I want to buy the mud guards too. Is it easy to DIY?
Do i need to take out the tires first to install?
Is it needed to drill the new hole or just un-plug the existing screws and re-plugin?
I notice there is a screw hole position at the bottom. Do i need to jack-up the car for it?
Very very easy, install. Hardest part is getting the 1 plastic fastener to release from the body. Then 3 screws each for the front, 2 in the rear. But don't worry all new fasteners are included with the kit if you damage anything. You will need some sort of 90 degree screwdriver to do it without removing the wheels. Took me about 15 minutes, but I restore cars for a living. Hyundai rates it an A on their easy scale, same as putting the trunk mat in.
I will post a pic of my base Marathon Blue with them on it in black if that helps dustlessix.

Push them a touch. Got my dealer to sell them to me at $31.50 a set, which is their employee price.

Are they worth the investment? I need to get All-weather mats soon...

Thanks for the info sparecr, I ordered a set (still waiting on delivery) and was wondering about the installation.
Looks pretty simple, and I like that they add just a bit of detail in addition to the protection they provide.
sad day.
